It is all going to work out…

Go forth with joy for He has promised new things.

Yesterday, I started with what I have found to be vital for my own life – to not only seek God’s Kingdom over everything else, but to know His focus is on my good.  The momentary feelings after enduring a hardship can cause us to wonder but over time, and with the power of hindsight, we see that:

Romans 8:28  Amplified Bible (AMP)

28 We are assured and know that God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose.

This is such good news for those of us who only see part of the story. God knows our entire life story. He has allowed us to make choices all along  the way but He knows us. He wants us to grow into our full potential.  Often we see the New Year portrayed as a child dressed in just a diaper, a new beginning, or as in another image, an unwritten page. We have in this New Year, a wonderful opportunity to walk into new territory, our promised land. To do so, we need to let go of the fears of the past and the fears of the future and live in the now. This is quite a challenge but God would not ask us to live this way if it were not for our best.

Isaiah 43:19 NLT  New Living Translation

For I am about to do a brand-new thing. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness for my people to come home. I will create rivers for them in the desert!

Hope is the source of our motivation to go boldly into this new year.  God is not only already there, He walks with us as we go…we are never alone nor without resources. Walk boldly in confidence, but with a listening ear – we are coming home..
